No clue, I'll go with speedsquare, Georgia sounds as good as anything.
What is the time line? Most take 3-4 months to do the AT end to end. This has to be much longer 4-5 months?
How many guesses do I get?

Probably not, since the name of the blog is Another Long Walk. Don't know that you walked the Moors, or if they are a thousand miles...well for someone they might be. ha.
So far, Connfederate is closest--it's a bald on the AT. I took the photo from the Rice Field Shelter just north of Pearisburg, Virginia, practically a stone's throw from West Virginia. (The mountains in the background probably are West Virginia.)
I'm not sure if the bald actually has a name or not. If it does, I don't know what it is. But it's from that first shelter going north out of Pearisburg. And the folks in the photo are other thru-hikers I shared the shelter with that night.
Well, I was pretty doggone close myself, I knew it was a bald, that's why I guessed Max Patch.

I'm curious, too, about the use of bald as a noun.
Okay, I'll answer that, maybe right, maybe wrong. Bald.....Would assume it means few trees on the top, as in hair. One reason you can see forever, nothing to obscure the view.

Add on. We had a hill like that here in town, they called it Lover's Lane, or actually, Sugar Loaf Hill, cause you could go up there and park and look at downtown with all the pretty lights flickerin. Nice. No mountains in our area, just hills. Some pretty big ones though. That hill used to be out in the boonies, but no longer, it got swallowed up by urban sprawl. Get arrested now up there, you would be parked in someone driveway. ha
Is this at the area of the AT known as "Raven Rocks"? From your discription, I'm guessing just north of that and the Bear's Den.
